Author's Guidelines
Author Guidelines – Jurnal Inovasi
1. Focus and Scope
Jurnal Inovasi publishes scientific articles related to education, training, innovation, public policy, and professional development within the context of Balai Diklat Keagamaan.
2. General Requirements
- Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
- Authors must follow the official Jurnal Inovasi Template (A4, PF Bulletin Sans Pro font, 1.5 spacing).
- Languages accepted: Bahasa Indonesia (PUEBI-compliant) or academic English.
- Manuscripts may be: (a) Research Papers or (b) Literature Reviews.
3. Plagiarism Policy
All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin). The acceptable similarity index is ≤ 20–25% excluding references. Manuscripts exceeding the threshold will be rejected automatically.
4. Peer Review Process
- The journal applies a double-blind peer review system.
- Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
- Review decisions include: Accepted, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Rejected.
- The average review duration is 3–6 weeks.
5. Article Processing Charges (APC)
There are currently no submission or publication fees (free of charge).
6. Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright of their articles. Upon publication, authors agree to license their work under: Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA).
7. Manuscript Structure and Formatting
7.1 Page Setup
- Paper size: A4
- Margins: Left 3 cm, Right 2.5 cm, Top 3 cm, Bottom 2.5 cm
- Main text spacing: 1.5; Table contents: single spacing
- Font: PF Bulletin Sans Pro (Title 14 pt; Body text 11 pt)
- Total length: 25–110 pages
7.2 Manuscript Components
- Title
Provided in both English and Indonesian (14 pt, bold, centered). - Author Information
Full name, institutional affiliation, email, and WhatsApp number. - Abstract (English)
150–250 words; includes background, objective, method, key results, and novelty.
Keywords: 3–5 terms (alphabetically ordered). - Abstrak (Bahasa Indonesia)
Same structure as the English abstract.
Kata Kunci: 3–5 kata (urut alfabet). - PENDAHULUAN (Introduction)
Contains: background, ideal conditions, gap/weaknesses of previous studies, rationale, objectives, benefits, and novelty. - Kajian Teori (Literature Review)
Relevant theories, concepts, and previous research findings. - Metode Penelitian (Research Method)
Includes research design, population/sample, data collection instruments, and analysis techniques.
For qualitative studies: researcher presence, subjects, informants, location, duration, and validity checks.
Images and graphics should be inserted using text boxes to maintain formatting stability. - Hasil dan Pembahasan (Results & Discussion)
Present findings (not calculations), supported by tables/figures.
Discussion must interpret results, compare with existing literature, answer research questions, and propose new insights. - Kesimpulan (Conclusion)
Summarizes the results and answers the research objectives. - Rekomendasi (Recommendations)
Practical, theoretical, or future research suggestions. - Daftar Pustaka (References)
Follow APA Style (alphabetical order). Only cited works should appear in the reference list.
8. Table and Figure Guidelines
- Table titles are placed above the table; figure captions below the figure.
- Specify as "Table 1", "Figure 1", etc.
- Image resolution minimum: 300 dpi.
- Preferred formats: PNG, JPG.
9. Required Metadata Upon Submission
- ORCID iD (if available)
- Short biography (100–150 words)
- Acknowledgments (optional)
- Funding statement (if applicable)
- Conflict of interest declaration
10. Publication Ethics
This journal adheres to the publication ethics of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors must ensure integrity and ethical conduct in the research and writing process.
11. AI Use Disclosure (Mandatory)
Authors must transparently disclose any use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in the preparation of their manuscript. AI tools may assist in language editing, grammar checking, data processing, visualization, or code generation; however, AI cannot replace human intellectual contribution.
Required AI Disclosure Statement:
“This manuscript involved the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, or other systems) for tasks such as language editing, formatting assistance, or idea clarification. All intellectual content, interpretations, arguments, and conclusions are the responsibility of the authors. The authors verified and approved all AI-assisted outputs.”
Undisclosed or inappropriate AI usage may result in rejection or withdrawal of the manuscript.
