About the Journal

INOVASI: Jurnal Diklat Keagamaan (p-ISSN: 1978-4953, e-ISSN: 2746-6450, DOI Prefix: 10.52048) is a peer-reviewed open access journal published by the Surabaya Religious Education and Training Center under the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The journal aims to disseminate scientific knowledge and innovative research in the fields of education, religious studies, and training development.

The journal was first published in print in 2007 with four issues per year. From 2008 to 2012, INOVASI was available in both print and online formats. The online publication was temporarily paused from 2013 to 2018. Since 2019, the journal has been published again, both in print and on the Open Journal Systems (OJS). From 2019 to 2020, INOVASI was published three times a year; since 2021, it has been published twice a year.

INOVASI accepts manuscripts derived from scientific research and academic studies conducted by trainers (widyaiswara), researchers, lecturers, educators, educational practitioners, and scholars in the fields of education, general studies, and religious education. The journal upholds high academic standards and adheres to ethical principles in the publication process.

Aims and Scope

The journal has a clearly defined focus and scope on education, religious studies, and training development. It publishes scholarly work related to learning practices in schools, madrasahs, Islamic boarding schools, and spiritual education institutions; religious education and Islamic studies; professional competency and human resource development; religious services and institutional administration; and community empowerment in educational and religious contexts.

INOVASI welcomes empirical research articles, literature reviews, conceptual papers, case studies, best practices, policy analyses, and training evaluation studies relevant to educational and religious development.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to all published content under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) license. Readers are free to read, download, copy, distribute, print, link, or use the full texts for any lawful purpose, provided proper attribution is given, and derivative works use the same license. No embargo is applied, and all articles are accessible to the public upon publication.

Peer Review Process

INOVASI applies a double-masked peer review process. At least two independent reviewers evaluate each submitted manuscript. The review process assesses originality, methodological quality, clarity of presentation, relevance to the journal's scope, scientific contribution, and accuracy of references. Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ comments before final acceptance.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published twice a year, in April and November.

The journal adheres to the ethical guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). INOVASI is committed to ensuring academic integrity, preventing plagiarism, and promoting ethical research and publication practices for authors, reviewers, and editors.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

INOVASI does not charge any article submission or publication fees. All publishing services are provided free of charge.

Archiving Policy

This journal utilizes the OJS PKP PN (LOCKSS) system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and ensures that the journal content is preserved and accessible for the long term.

Indexing

The journal aims to be indexed in national and international indexing databases. Information on indexing status will be updated on the journal website.
